It is reported that this is also the highest altitude, single unit power and the largest diameter of wind turbine installed in Southwest China.

Huomuliang wind farm is located in huomuliang Tang area, Ninglang Yi Autonomous County, Lijiang City, Yunnan Province, with a total installed capacity of 49.5mw. The local terrain of the mountainous area fluctuates greatly, the mountainous area alternates with gullies, the terrain is complex and irregular, the altitude is between 3300-3600m, the air density is between 0.81-0.85kg/m3, which is a typical high-altitude wind farm.
